MISSION
Our mission is striving to empower and inspire youth by combining athletics, education, and positive mentorship to motivate them to reach their highest level of success.
ANNUAL BASKETBALL CLINIC
Lou conducts a basketball camp each summer at his alma mater South Gwinnett High School. The program helps to raise confidence, as well as, offer intense, specialized basketball instruction with an emphasis on the importance of being a team player. Louis also plans to conduct a free basketball camp for inner city youth in Philadelphia.
ACADEMIC BALLER PROGRAM
Annually, the Lou Williams Foundation will choose three scholar athletes and challenge them to make outstanding academic achievements. The schools will be from Atlanta, Memphis and Philadelphia. Each student is required to write an essay on the importance of acquiring a good education while pursuing his or her athletic goals. The best essay will be awarded the "Lou Williams Academic Baller of the Year" award and a scholarship to the college of his or her choice.
AAU BASKETBALL TEAM
Lou Will Elite is an AAU basketball program designed to promote participation by a select group of young men, interested in becoming scholar athletes and to prepare them for the future on and off the court. The participants acknowledge and sign a contract stating that EDUCATION is a PRIORITY! We will encourage young men that academic achievements are just as important as being great basketball players.
